Star Campaign

Funding Priorities

As a member of the Virtua family, the STAR Campaign is your campaign, and you can decide how your gift will help Virtua. Gifts to the STAR Campaign can be designated toward one of the following important funding priorities:

  • POWER TO HEAL– Virtua is committed to making investments and advancements that have a profound impact on the well-being of families in our community and beyond. The Power to Heal Campaign directly supports programs and services across Virtua, with an emphasis on two key initiatives:
    • FAMILY HEALTH CENTER – CAMDEN – Our new 34,500 square-foot Family Health Center will offer expanded primary care, dental services, podiatry, specialized medicine, physical therapy, laboratory services and dedicated space for community education.
    • VIRTUA CANCER CENTER – MOORESTOWN – Our new comprehensive Cancer Center will bring cutting-edge cancer care to our community, with access to a full range of services and innovative technologies all under one roof.
  • STAR PROGRAMS – The programs and services highlighted below meet a very specific need within our Virtua community. These programs often resonate greatly with employees and are offered as additional options to direct your support.
    • CAMP OASIS - Fully funded by gifts made to Virtua Foundation, Camp Oasis is a one-day getaway for South Jersey children who have a parent or loved one battling cancer.
    • C.A.S.T.L.E. - The C.A.S.T.L.E. (Children Achieving Success through Therapeutic Life Experiences) program provides therapeutic support to children ages 3 - 15 with emotional, behavioral or psychological challenges.
    • CHILD LIFE - Our Child Life team provides preparation, coping techniques, procedural support and opportunities for play and therapeutic activities, working to create a safe, supportive environment for children and families as they manage the stress of a hospital experience.
    • CLINICAL LEADERSHIP & EDUCATION FUND - This fund provides the financial resources for clinicians throughout Virtua to have greater access to continued training, education and professional growth opportunities.
    • DIABETES EDUCATION & MANAGEMENT - Virtua has a 22-member team dedicated to diabetes education, services and support, with service provided to South Jersey residents through offices in Moorestown, Camden, Washington Township and Voorhees.
    • MOBILE FARMERS MARKET - This 23-foot bus brimming with fresh produce sells fruits and vegetables at significantly reduced prices in communities throughout Burlington and Camden counties four days a week. This program also incorporates health education and literacy about eating well and its connection to reducing chronic disease.
