Through a generous $1 million gift from the Joseph Lacroce Foundation, in 2018 Virtua Health launched a Pediatric Mobile Services program to address the health and wellness needs of children across South Jersey. Our experienced team of child specialists bring pediatric services directly to those children (infant to age six) who are living in medically underserved and impoverished urban and rural communities across Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties. In January 2020, the program’s team was recognized for their efforts with the New Jersey Hospital Association’s prestigious HRET Community Outreach Award for reducing health disparities.
Virtua Health’s Pediatric Mobile Services provides an array of services, including:
The Pediatric Mobile Services program equips parents or guardians of the children we serve with the knowledge and resources they need to help their children grow and thrive. Additionally, the program engages the community in non-clinical ways, providing diapers, wipes, formula, books, blankets, clothing, snacks, and toys—all thanks to the generosity of donors.
