This annual event and holiday tradition returns for the 55th year, featuring five unique and beautifully decorated homes, the Community House of Moorestown, and a "Pop-Up" Shop to ring in the holiday season. When you purchase your tour ticket, you will learn which Moorestown residences have been selected for the 2018 tour. Guests may tour the homes on Wednesday, December 5, in any order between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. You will learn about the history of the homes, admire the architecture and design, and be inspired with new decorating ideas just in time for the holiday season.

Since 1962, proceeds from the Cooks Tour impacted the lives of patients at Virtua in Mt. Holly. Funds have been used for facility renovations, new technologies in cancer treatment, cardiac care, and more. This year’s event will raise funds to enhance oncology services and programs at Virtua Memorial and the new Virtua Samson Cancer Center.

The Cooks Tour was started in 1962 by the Curtis Auxiliary, an all-volunteer organization founded by a group of Moorestown women. It was named in honor of Dr. Howard M. Curtis, a pediatrician at what is now known as Virtua Memorial. The auxiliary began hosting fundraising events in the community, like the Cooks Tour and the once popular Curtis Ball, to support the hospital. Over time, other auxiliaries were established throughout the region to form the Auxiliary Board to Virtua Memorial. Today, this board works together along with many community businesses and volunteers to host the annual Cooks Tour in Moorestown.
